Fusing elements of Pop, Urban, and Dance influences from Cleveland, Atlanta, and Los Angeles, pop vocalist and songwriter Fia Moniko independently releases her debut single, "Forgiven".
From an early age, Fia was playing piano, singing and writing with several notable writers and producers in Cleveland, including Michael Seifert (Tori Amos, Regina Spektor) and Tony Nicholas (Levert, Joe). Searching for influences beyond her upbringing, Fia traveled to work with teams in Atlanta, and had by then released two independent EPs. This paved the way for her final move to Los Angeles, where she continued to refine her sound with Dem Jointz and Candice Pillay (Rihanna, Christina Aguilera) and Grammy-award winning producer, Timothy Bloom (Ne-Yo, Chris Brown).
“When I moved to LA, I made an unconscious decision to try everything. My curiosity to explore was at an all-time high, which is when I found my voice. I was able to write about subtle emotions, desires, and evils I previously couldn't express”.
Those emotions have been brought forth on Fia’s 2014 release, “Forgiven”, produced by Mike Gonsolin (The Veronicas, Snoop Dogg). Her voice ranges from exposed, breathy lows to intense, guttural highs that take the listener through an array of bold, yet vulnerable emotions.
