Formed in August, 2009 in Long Beach, CA, The Moderates is comprised of Josh Taylor (age 18), Wes Mathison (age 19) and Garret Huff (age 20). The Moderates is a unique balance with Josh on lead vocals and guitar, with Wes slapping the bass and singing back up vocals, with continued support from the drummer, Garret. From slow melodic hypnotic vibes similar to the likes of Coldplay to gritty guitar bellowing resembling the Foo Fighters, the Moderates proves unique to the industry and destined to make a name for themselves. The Moderates' live performances range from San Diego, Bakersfield, the mountains of Big Bear, the night life of Hollywood at the Whisky-a-go-go and in their home town Long Beach. Three buddies in a garage eventually transformed into a classic rock sound unique to the band and not found in many acts today, let alone with members in their youth. Don't let the ages of the musicians fool you, these are serious instrumentalists with mature lyrics who, with any luck to the public, will rock for decades to come.
