I am compelled to make music. I've known since a young age that I wanted to be a professional singer. As a freshman in high school I began taking voice lessons, as a sophomore I released my debut self-titled CD, and as a senior I was named “class musician”. My love for jazz also developed early. After my Dad, both a jazz guitarist and producer, taught me the standard “Skylark”, I fell in love and began to develop a jazz repertoire. Since then, I've performed across New England at weddings, events, bars/restaurants, and various performance spaces. I've continued to write my own music and i've collaborated with many talented musicians in both Vermont and New York City. In 2007 I went to Wagner College in New York City with a voice scholarship. After a year at Wagner I moved Park Slope in Brooklyn, NY and decided to take some time away from school to pursue my goals as a jazz vocalist and to focus mainly on writing/composing my own material. Currently I attend The New School University in Manhattan, majoring in Music in conjunction with Culture and Media. I am always interested in meeting musicians across genres and collaborating. I am currently in a rock band called Cheers to Fall as well as working on material for a solo EP. To hear music from my band's first EP go here!: www.cheerstofall.com Also check out a performance at The New School of two of my originals: "My Heart's Intent" and "Twilight". Also check out my first full-length jazz CD, released in April 2008! You can download it from "itunes" or buy the CD from "cdbaby". To read a review click Here. And Look for new original songs soon!
