Formerly known as The Grave Yatch Club, TGYC were born in Alicante, Spain, back in 2005. Under the longer version of their name, the band released three records and an EP until they decided to stop in 2010. Years after, with a freshly reformed line up, the band releases “Awake”, an impressive set of songs where electronic beats and synthesisers step up to the very front line, shaping a record that could be some sort of reinterpretation of Primal Scream's Screamadelica by some Grandaddy fan, in a garage in the Mediterranean Coast of Spain.
