snare (n.) – anything dangerous, risky etc. that tempts or attracts; thing by which a person is entangled; trap.
MyndSnare : A brief history 
MyndSnare first started out when Kp released his solo effort ‘MindSnare – 1,’ a 4-track demo, which was sold in India and made its way to Malaysian radio and Singapore, among other places. The evolution game was played, and after various mutations, MyndSnare attained equilibrium in its current line-up. With the recording of a three-song demo – ‘A Preliminary Quest…’ in 2004, the band finally put their sounds to disc, and have received an extremely good response from those of the audience who have been waiting to hear something played under controlled conditions, without the messy live audio systems playing havoc with the usic.MyndSnare's debut full-length album, 'Conditioned: Human' has been recorded and is scheduled for release on 19th September 2008 in Mumbai and Delhi.With upheavals being the norm in the Indian music scene, there are bound to be ore, but the Mynds are Snared as of now, and will keep the metal faith alive. As they say, the show must go on. More details of the early MyndSnare history can be viewed at: www.rsjonline.com 
MyndSnare: Achievements
• Won the prestigious, invite-only Independence Rock XIX in August 2004.
• Won Rs.50,000 prize towards studio costs from Toto Funds the Arts Foundation in Feb 2005, and headlined the concert held for the same in Bangalore.
• Over 650 copies of the demo ‘A Preliminary Quest…’ have been sold.
• Played the Independence Rock XVII in August 2002.

• Performed at the All-Indian Music Festival – Eastwinds, in Delhi, in Feb 2008.
• Headlined at NSIT, Delhi 2006.Played the invite-only June Rock Out 2004 in Chennai, with a few gigs at the Unwind Centres both in Chennai and in Bangalore.
• Played at the invite-only Rock Ethos 2008 in Bangalore, in support of original music.
• Won 3rd place out of 60 bands in IIT Delhi’s national competition in 2003, along with Best Drummer and Best Guitarist.
• Won 3rd place at Bangalore’s Indian Institute of Science in Nov 2005, and bagged another Best Drummer .
• Won 2nd place out of 45 bands in National Law School’s Strawberry Fields 2004 competition in Bangalore, along with Best Drummer .
• Won 1st place in IIM Bangalore’s '04 competition, along with Best Rhythm Guitarist and Best Drummer.
• In 2006, they hit IIM Bangalore again and won Best Drummer , and in Feb 2007, we secured first place and Best Drummer again.
• Won 1st place out of 45 bands in R.A.I.T. 2004, Mumbai, along with Best Drummer and Best Vocalist, and bagged the first place at R.A.I.T again in March 2007
• Won Best Drummer at the BMS College of Engineering's annual fest in Bangalore, in April 2006.
• Headlined the annual cultural fest at the Manipal Institute of Engineering (MIT) in April 2006.
• Headlined the cultural fest at the Madras Christian College (MCC) in September 2004.
• Played the Ist, IInd, IVth and Vth iterations of the RESURRECTION string of metal fests in Mumbai.
• Was one of the bands featured in the Shark Tooth string of rock shows across India in 2007.
• Other shows played include the IIT at Mumbai, N.S.I.T. and the Delhi College of Engineering, Unwind Centre and various pub shows in Mumbai and Pune, such as the Razzberry Rhinoceros and Cyclone respectively, apart from the obvious few home ground gigs at Palace Grounds, The Club, On da Roxx and Legends of Rock
• Yasmin, the drummer, has been featured in quite a few magazines in India, such as the Rock Street Journal, RAVE, Business Standard, India Today, a couple of daily newspapers like The Indian Express (Mumbai), not to mention appearances on national TV (Star World and Times Now channels).
