Skumring was created in the early summer months of 2004, when Cecilie and Vàli were discussing to form a band. Already in the planning stages it became clear that the music we wanted to make would have to be heavy and melodic, thus the choice fell on doom metal. We immediately recruited Ole to play rhythm guitar, and KK joined later to handle the bass duties. We quickly started to rehearse self-composed material, and after a few weeks without a drummer, Knut replied to our ad on the Internet and the line-up was complete.  
 
However, after the recording of the 2004 demo Knut decided to leave the band. Late in 2005 Aftermath Music released the album ”De glemte tider”. And early in 2006 Ole left the band. We have not been able to replace the former members yet.
