“Degradation Paradox”是西班牙残酷死亡金属乐队HUMAN MINCER的第三张专辑，由目前最优秀的技术残酷死亡厂牌Brutal Bands发行。这张专辑既令人遗憾，又带来惊喜。遗憾的是乐队放弃了上一张专辑“Devoured Flesh”中稳重，浑厚，传统味浓郁的风格，转向了纯粹的新派；惊喜的是，作为新派技术残酷死亡，“Degradation Paradox”是一张顶尖作品。首先让人感受到的是速度和节奏的变化，传统式的律动让位于新派风驰电掣，天旋地转的高速。上张专辑中操着老味十足的低吼的Carlos离队，取代他的是来自WORMED的Phlegeton。他的演唱是最夸张的新派guttural，吹哨一般呼啸不止。相比Carlos的低吼，Phlegeton的guttural更适合乐队现在这种风格。在riff中，还能依稀辨认出与“Devoured Flesh”的相似之处。风格的转变，主要归因于阵容的变化：来自WORMED的主唱Phlegeton和贝司Guilemoth取代了Carlos和 Antonio。再加上原来的鼓手Miguel，现在乐队 4人中有3人都属于WORMED，曲风向新派残酷靠拢也就不足为奇了。HUMAN MINCER的变化，使死亡金属界失去了一支个性鲜明的老式残酷死亡，多了一支水平拔尖的技术残酷死亡。 
 
HUMAN MINCER were formed in 1996 by a group of friends with the purpose of making a Death Metal band. At first, they began making poor Thrash/Death and soon after, the lead guitarist and the vocalist left the band. After two years of rehearsing without a vocalist, they tried with a guy called Carlos that fitted very well for the style of the band.
