In a futile attempt to keep hoards of snarling pigs (otherwise known as critics) at bay, artists come and go with the sun and very rarely manage to bait the public with a truly genuine idea. Reason being that it’s safe. Avoid contention, and in turn avoid criticism. Unfortunately, these benefits come at the cost of a creative license, which is a faculty just as important to a man as his still beating heart. Take it away and you’re left with nothing more than an empty shell. 
 
 
 
After the earth makes a sufficient number of rotations around the sun, enough time tends to pass for new paradigms to come to fruition. In the event of such an occurrence, refreshing mentalities come to light and modern man breathes a sigh of relief. 
 
 
 
It can come in the form of almost anything: a theory, a picture, a book, or even a song. In any case, it evokes a feeling visceral enough to let all those subscribing to it know that everything is going to be okay…or at least someday it will. And there are still people out there with pulses who can illustrate everything that most of us could never say; everything that would flash before our eyes only during sincere moments of REM sleep and reverie. 
 
 
 
We can’t explain string theory, but we can tell you how we feel. We are far from perfect but god knows we’re trying and there are still ids inside of us with the impulses to love, kill, abuse, drink, and even find brief moments to smile in the light. We can promise to never lie about any of it. We owe you that much. Give us a moment of your time. Take a listen. Try to keep the sun on your backs and we’ll never let you down.
