A SPELL INSIDE was founded in 1989 by Michael Roeder (vocals, programming) and Peter Kirchmeyer (synths, samples). After some funny sessions the whole thing became bigger and bigger and one year later Klaus Rodewig joined the band as a guitar-player. A Spell Inside was born.


This moment was the real start of ASI and it was the aim to create a modern electronic style with some slight guitars which only should indicate directions in a very dynamical way.
Because this would be a sound which one couldnt found at any other bands at that moment. And so the story moved on ...

1996 Klaus left the band of personal reasons and from that time on ASI proceeded as a duo. In the case of live-gigs Sven Schumacher supported the band, sometimes even in the studio.
