Asylum Lifetime Bio 
 
Asylum Lifetime or “Asylife” is an aggressive emcee hailing from Bristol Ct. Bringing forth a hardcore musical style, along with heavy lyrical content. From punchlines to life situations, With a full resume of trials and tribulations that is capable inspiring a “lifetime” of music. Battling drug addictions to living on the brinks of desperation and survival. Asylum brings an inside looking out perspective which gives his music a certain feeling of authenticity and soul. Not only is Asylum a stand alone artist.He brings with him his counterpart. Dj/producer “Sherm Larock”. The duo have been collectively making music since 2002. To date they have releases two full length albums on their own. “Trapped in the Globe” (2002) and “Undeniable” (2004). They have also released “Check the Resume” mix-tape. A compilation showcasing some of their favorite hits from both albums, as well as additional collaborations with the likes of CT heavyweights Blacastan’ Colombeyond as well as Queensbridge native Blaq Poet. The purpose of the mix-tape is to familiarize and re-introduce the world to Asylum lifetime, the work he has put in over the past eight years and make a strong push for future aspirations in the music World. 
 
Sonically the music is a reflection of their influences. From the like of Wu tang, Mobb Deep, Gangstarr as well as the golden era of hip hop, to the more recent explosion of Indie lyracits and beatmakers. Asylum and Sherm are both fans and reprasenatives of the entire hip Hop Culture. In the tradition of many other emcee/producer duo’s such as Gangstarr, the Beatnuts, EPMD, Pete Rock & Cl Smooth etc… Asylum and Sherm carry the torch from that era. 
 
In 2011 they released “Political Asylum”. The duo continue to do what they do best. Hard beats, hard rhyme, in an aggressive format.In addition to recording music Asylum brings the same energy and passion to the live show experience.
