X-FACTOR contestant Joanne Hindley is hoping her music career is about to hit a high. 
 
The 26-year-old singer, who narrowly missed out on a place in the TV talent show finals two years ago, is to launch a showcase of her own. 
 
The young mum, who lives in Stoneclough Road, Kearsley, will show off her vocal talents in My Name is Jo at The Cotton House in Ducie Street, Manchester, on Saturday, January 25. 
 
She will perform her favourite hits as well as debuting From Up Here - a song penned for her by Take That's Gary Barlow. 
 
Miss Hindley, who has a two-year-old son, Brandon, said: "I'm really nervous because all eyes will be on me, but it's also exciting. This is what I've been working towards for a long time - I just hope everyone enjoys it." 
 
Miss Hindley came to the nation's attention in 2004 when she was chosen from thousands to sing live on ITV with pop heart-throbs Westlife. 
 
She made it into X-Factor bootcamp in 2005, travelling to the Los Angeles home which judge Sharon Osbourne shares with her rock star husband Ozzy.
